Nuggets / Gold Expeditions/Adventures
The gold nuggets pictured below, are real gold nuggets cleaned of the earth from which they were discovered in. The gold nuggets are rare finds brought back by Mr. Casanova during his Australian Gold Expeditions Adventures. Over the last couple years, adventures to Australia have included collecting historic research data, covering the gold rush eras of the past and present in Australia; mainly focusing on Central Victoria Goldfields. In Feb 2002, Mr. Casanova ventured into the actual gold fields of the 1850s for the first time. The purpose was to gather data and evaluate conditions of the area and the fields. Mr. Casanova sampled ground conditions for electronic gold nugget prospecting and gold pan prospecting. Equipment notes were taken as well as field testing of a brand new gold prospecting detector made in America. Evaluations conducted on sites will be used to base further plans for future exploration and adventures into the riches gold nugget fields of the world. Professional video and photographing were also a major part of the expedition as well as researching resources in Victoria. Resources for these adventures should include: locally produced road maps, topographical maps, mining maps, geo related maps, good food stores, petrol station locations along the route, 4x4 hire shop, general town information, regular business hours in different towns, etc.. Seek out government info on mining rights and prospecting, acquire any permits, etc.. While in Melbourne, shops that supported adventures were found as well as hardware stores, electronics stores etc.. During the 2002 expeditions, gold nuggets were purchased from two gold exchange operators in the central Victoria Gold Field region. These exchange operators buy the raw nuggets as they are brought in for sale by the local electronic prospectors working the central Victoria goldfields. The cost for the nuggets are based on weight when purchased as is from the earth. They are then cleaned and graded as to quality, content, weight and any unique shape qualities that increases the nugget's value greatly. Some of the nuggets are open to purchase offers. Others are not and are part of the private Casanova collection.
